Bollopetalum Midnight Blue is a cross between Bollea violacea and Zygopetalum B. G. White. This one is a clone of a very nice but not yet awarded Bollopetalum Midnight Blue 'Cardinal's Roost.'

Grow this one in bright indirect light, in a temperature range of 55 to 85 degrees. Try not to let it dry out completely, but don't keep it sopping wet. Fertilize twice a month. The flowers can have a natural spread of 7 to 8 cm, and a vertical spread of 9 to 10 cm.

These seedling are in 3 inch square pots. They stand abut 9 inches high as measured from the bottom of the pot. We think they will bloom within 18 to 24 months or so. They are not in flower now.
